KeziKoko is the brainchild of award winning textile designer Kezia Lewis. One of five siblings, Kezia and her Lewis Crew grew up in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. A graduate of the renowned Glasgow School of Art, she was one of twenty-four UK graduates chosen by Texprint to showcase London and Paris in 2010.
Soon after, Diane Von Furstenberg Studio, New York, invited Kezia to operate the print room and work closely with the print team, completing one off projects, collection samples and branding ideas. In 2012 Kezia was head hunted by Circleline to work in their prestigious print studio in London, her designs selling internationally.
More industry experience followed at Bebaroque, Glutteny, Edinburgh College of Art and GlasgowClydeCollege. Winning Textile Federation’s Bright Lights City competition in 2013 fuelled her desire to create her own brand, KeziKoko, with a unique aesthetic.
This natural progression in fact started out back in the busy corridors of art college, while she developed her graduate collection. It drew on her dual Scottish and Jamaican heritage, love of geometrics, addiction to colour and her particular style of working. Grateful to have had opportunities to travel, Kezia continues to soak up diverse cultures, beautiful buildings and scenery, which directly contribute to KeziKoko’s unique aesthetic. She hopes to establish an international and ethical brand that takes inspiration from place, experience and narrative to produce unique prints and chic products full of life and joy.
